Hip Hop/Rap Appreciation thread

Watched Snoop Dogg and Meekz these last few weeks.

Got Pusha T in London next month.

Will you be watching Havoc play whilst he's over here @Maintainin ??
Mate of mine went 3 times for Snoop, Glasgow, Manchester Arena n O2 London, said the gig in Scotland was top n that the tribute to Eazy E was heartfelt n very touching. I didn't know Tha Dogg Pound n Warren G were also in tow.

Havoc is completely sold out, most gigs at Camden Jazz Cafe tend to sell out well in advance, may have to rely on a freebie, nice lil venue for the more old skool n mature heads, gutted i missed Masta Ace when he played there.

Ahh the Dogg Pound, Warren G no showed to the tour. same with Obie Trice.

D-12 had two members out of the group.

He did a good show tbh, just found it crazy some of the ages allowed inside.

Ahh he's still got some tickets left here in Manchester. Day after Arsenal at home :-D

Can imagine the age thang topping it when Wu n Nas touch down, folk tripping over oompa loompas n teenie boppers ...they've long already cleaned out Primark for its Wu merch in advance !

I may have to consider taking a bag of Wu Wear snapbacks n bandanas to flip outside gig in the smoke :)

Raury - i first heard of him when his tune was on the closing credits in the movie Lucy.

These two are relatively new and show his diversity.

It might be imagination talking, but I seem to remember being shocked this song was quite in Brit pop culture, back in the day!
I hear you, i also think that back then a lot of folk were easily just as hooked on hearing any given standout repetitive 'line/bar' within a track that becomes even more catchy the more it's heard.

However, there also came a point where such tracks became a tad worn out n over-played in the mainstream.

Only reason i posted it up today was, well, today being 1st of tha' month n'all that lol ...don't think i actually possess any vinyl at all of Bone Thugs within my crates.

I know what the date is, Brother! LOL!

Firstly, I'm impressed you could decipher the nonsense I posted as I haven't slept after doing a 30 hour shift! I need sleep, Bro!

Secondly, yes, I remember a spate in time where the rawer rap tunes hit the mainstream including NWA, Snoop and 'Bones'.

I'll offer up the other unexpected and highly emotional chart topper 'B,T&H' did...

Both tracks are the only ones that standout whenever i hear their name, for some strange reason i just never really got round to taking to them or fully hearing them out as a group, i may give em a relistening to, one day.

...date thang wasn't meant to sound sarcastic btw bro ;-)
