Bit of a change of subject, but the new Kendrick really is phenomenal.

Trying to think of literally any other solo rapper in history with a 1 to 5 run (or 1 to 6 if you count Untitled Unmastered as a full album) that's as good as Section 80, GKMC, TPAB, Damn, and Mr. Morale.

A lot of rappers have 1 to 3 runs that are excellent (Ice Cube, Eminem, Redman, the list goes on), a smaller number of rappers have excellent 1 to 4 runs, but 1 to 5? I think that's a pretty exclusive club.

DOOM maybe, under his various names? Kanye? Rakim maybe, if you categorise The 18th Letter alongside his stuff with Eric B? Kool G Rap maybe, if you categorise 456 alongside his stuff with DJ Polo?

Anyway, Kendrick is rare, I think.

His new album is amazing, still gutted we haven't seen a Black Hippy album officially come out.

Eminem has a lot more decent albums but I agree on the first 3 albums. Despite hating it at the time, and apart from a few songs I skip, going back on the album I would put that in the run.

I would definitely add Kanye to this list.

Don't know if he's behind the direction of his own video's or not but truth be told a lot of em are very creative, indeed!

Seems to keep reinventing himself, signs of a good artist with a lot more in his bag as he continues to walk side by side with an ever changing industry.

n95 was actually filmed before Covid.

His videos are amazing. Can see him doing alot more acting.

Kendrick Lamar - Alright

Kendrick Lamar - The heart Pt.5

Agreed, some right thought provoking videos, knows how to captivate minds in an era where most are losing attention span.

It's nice to see changes in video content.

UK scene needs to do it now, its either semi naked women and rapping about pussy. Or all flexing their Canada Goose jackets whilst driving rental vehicles.

Great video and track. All 5 have been superb.

Never have liked hip hop or rap. I do though think there are some very talented people out there but for me thats the problem, the talent always gets outshined by the gangster element of it all. I wish its roots werent embedded in the street violence it came from, but tbh it wouldnt be as good if it wasnt for where it came from, like all music.

What are you talking about?

Hip Hop/ Rap's root weren't embedded in gangster elements. It/ we started out vibing and partying with the height of that coming from the sounds of Afrika Bamabaataa and Soulsonic Force

to Digital Underground trying to revive that same feeling

We had classics like 'Captain Rock'

THAT was Hip Hop. Rap is its bastard son who became Hip Hop's unsavoury carer.

PC Vlad, I make it a general rule to never trust a Ukrainian. Kev Mac has great stuff though, as does Alex Alonso.
Twas sparring with a Ukrainian earlier this evening, he roundhouse kicked me on my left side with the power of a fuckin horse, a proper 90Kg of a kick n'all, managed to teep him off of his feet with me lil 79Kg self, haha
...him n his brother are sound lads.
