Imagine if Haaland hadn't been hooked off on 2 so many times.
So it was. But yer can't expect 100% correct details from a game where most of this forum weren't alive. Anyway, Barnes definitely scored three pens! And if I've got this detail correct only done 11 times. Don't know whether it's ever happened in the PL but if it has it would probably have been at The Swamp or Anfield!!
What’s your favourite City hat trick either in the PL either (as relates to this stat) and/or before?

I might have this slightly wrong, so apologies in advance if I have, but I remember Sergio getting a first half hat trick against Spurs & then going off injured.
One of those games where he was absolutely untouchable
Yeah, I got them muddled up. That midweek game was something else, I remember him being untouchable and then had to go offif it was that midweek game at WHL he only scored one but it might be the best I’ve ever seen a City player play.
Scored four the following season here against the same team.
this is my favourite as well, what a day that was.Foden/Haaland V rags
2 boyhood blues putting three past them each was just wonderful
Don’t forget those other clubs have had 5 more seasons in the PL than CityWhat’s your favourite City hat trick either in the PL either (as relates to this stat) and/or before?

Cracking post!I was at that game on kippax. Those were the days City at home in Blue ,standing on the terrace,Paul Lake fit and playing........Mel Machins Boys
I've often think about Morley just how brave he was ,never shiriked a challenge, always throwing himself near post.......or at Bradford away ,promotion game last day of the season ,..the far post.
Loved following City in them days
Was talking to a Sheffield utd lad last night as we watched blades v Leeds, I said 1st time I went on your ground was March 1988. We won 2-1 on a Tuesday night .we had home grown kids playing , I was explaining how much it meant to us at the time, roaring Lake Redmond White and Hinchcliffe on.we were 2nd division .....I said we played you on the Tues night , on the Sunday we played Liverpool at Maine rd in the fa cup quarter finals...The blade just looked at me astonished at the detail. He used to run the bbc,..... and was giddy on the Yorkshire derby but I made him think,..
Ditto.Cracking post!
Crazy really - I remember the matches from those years with far more clarity than the last 10 seasons. And I wouldn't change a thing about those years of hardshi.p for anything.
I was at that match;)Brian Kidd 4 v Leicester Jan '77
Double dittoDitto.
