We're thinking of doing a transatlantic crossing from Barbados to Palma next April with Thomsons (they're offering free drinks). Trouble is, it's listed as "adults only" and we don't want to spend 2 weeks crossing the Atlantic dodging crazy old pensioners trying to run you over with their electric buggies.
Americans do get good late deals, I agree. I subscribe to a few online travel agents and get daily deals from them via email. If you pick the right time, you can get some pretty decent deals.
