Holiday advice

And you were happy flying? Why the need? Stay home. It's the only way to beat it. No contact.

But hey mate, as long as you are OK...
I wouldn't get into a protracted discussion except to say we would have been happy flying on a plane with K95 masks and their Hepa filtration systems, in the safe knowledge we were traveling to a better place.

Everyone on the plane would have been Covid tested and isolated pre-travel. On landing we would have been examined again and then thrice daily at our in the middle of nowhere hotel before every meal. In addition we would have applied Hands-Face-Space which has kept us safe thus far. The alternative is what we see before us and having to watch our step every-time we venture out for fodder as people don't follow rules. I am sure it was @kaz7 who said she was in Tesco yesterday and they were that close they were literally trying to mount her. I have put the news on as we've only just surfaced and everyone appears to be getting fined for partying. The sick man of Europe we remain until folk follow rules laid down by the government to keep our nation safe. As an addendum our large Croft car park is full of unrecognizable vehicles, probably just the granny killers that have arrived to wish everyone well. Anyway happy new year chap and stay safe because we are putting on our winter wonderland jumpers Right Now and going off on a stereotypical new year days walk along with all the other oddities. Walking out the old and bringing back in the new. Adios Bob lad.

Anyone got any experiences and tips from Scandinavia/Nordic region? I've never been so going at it blindly. Was thinking of maybe a winter holiday in Norway or Finland, in the mid-term once all this Covid bollocks has calmed down a bit. Cheers.

Went to Copenhagen in Summer 2019 and really enjoyed it. Expensive, but lots to see and do. Whilst there, we took a train trip across the Oresund Bridge to Malmo, which was a good day.

Got friends in Denmark, Odense and try to get over at least every couple of years.

Ideally you need someone with local knowledge as all the Scandinavian countries are expensive if you don't know where to go. Could very easily spend £8 a pint in the tourist bars but with no drop in standard can pay almost half as much in the right bars. Food & accommodation is also dear.... normally July/August it's as hot & sunny as most of the European mainland.

Spent a load of time in Sweden plus done Norway, Iceland etc etc...what do you want to know?

We also have the odd Swede knocking about.

Cheers for the tips, gents.

Hi Bob, I'm really after knowing which time of year is best to go? Would take my partner so always fancied the winter there in all the snow. Best places to go (Norway, but open to anything), best travelling routes, accomodation type, transport whilst over there. Some of the cruises in that part of the world look decent but doubt we'd be getting on a ship anytime soon.

BMR knows a thing or two about knocking Swedes, he loves to stroke their soft blonde hair and gaze into those onnocent young blue eyes

I should of been going to Egypt in May last year and took the option to move it to may this year. What's the chances of this even happening now?
