Holiday advice

I fly to Alicante, though the new covera airport is nearer. The place is between Lorca and A'guilas. Old rundown place, but with views to die for.
You know Murcia?

I had a phone call from Jet2 today about the holiday that was cancelled about 3 weeks ago. They originally asked us not to phone and they would write in date order. We decided that we would allow them the time requested and we were surprised that they rang to say that the refund was on its way. In the bank by Friday.
We have just been refunded today by Jet2 for flights cancelled going to Spain last Friday 24th

Simply put , if you cancel you might not got anything back. If you alter the dates you will pay a fee. If the carrier cancels you are entitled to a full refund .Or you can rebook to full value of cost.
The accommodation is a different matter.

I go out to my place in Spain so it is just flight and car for me.

Have you accommodation booked.
Easyjet are letting you alter flights up to April 21 2021 without a fee.
I just changed two cos I doubt we’ll be going anywhere this year without all sorts of hold ups and restrictions.

I’m braced to speak to TUI this week.

Due to fly on August 11 but this week is the date the balance is due.

It’s a big family holiday with kids and grandparents and some are very worried about going and the general feeling it to either cancel or attempt to shift it to next year.

Given that the UK government has advised against all but essential travel and the Canaries are advising not to come - would that carry enough weight to ask for our deposit back?
