Holiday advice

Simply put , if you cancel you might not got anything back. If you alter the dates you will pay a fee. If the carrier cancels you are entitled to a full refund .Or you can rebook to full value of cost.
The accommodation is a different matter.

I go out to my place in Spain so it is just flight and car for me.

Have you accommodation booked.
No. I'm just intrigued by how checking in online, well in advance, works to the punters advantage.

I should imagine it is information for the carrier. I also don't know the situation in each of your destinations. Checking in cannot harm you. get some consumer advice before doing anything you regret.
Good luck

Thanks. I'm not too fussed as I'm pretty sure I'll be sorted. Just wondered if checking in gave it a belt and braces approach.
I'll update as and when though, as it may be useful to others.

From everything I have read or listened to ,the losers have been those who have cancelled or altered plans. Sit tight.

Here's one to mull over for people with kids at school..
Lets say restrictions are lifted 1st September for all travel, would you take your child out of school in term time in order to holiday and what do you reckon the repercussions by the law would be ?..

I had a similar conversation with the wife a couple of weeks ago. I think you will see people having their summer holidays between October and December....in the Caribbean etc

Daughter just received an email from OnTheBeach saying they were to afford her another 7 days grace to pay final balances due whilst they contacted Cock O' Leary for an update to his flight status. Well done OTB and god willing they do not pass on a single bean to that scurrilous dog from the Emerald Isle. I read that he said his punters could have a refund only when Covid 19 has been laid to rest. He's cheap and of that I cannot digress, but hes a ****. And if there is anything worse in this blessed world than a **** then it's a cheap **** and for that reason I will not never ever ever fly Ryanair again! Unless it's cheap : /
