Holiday suggestions

Taormina is a stunning place, loved it there.

Never been but we've always wanted to do Sicily, family wedding there so we're going to make a proper holiday out of it, base ourselves in Taormina for 2 weeks get a rental car and tour the island before the main event. Shocked at how cheap it was, just over €1000 for return flights and accommodation for 2 adults, a child and an infant.

we have a daughter who for many reason we cant fly further than a couple or 3 hours away, we've done Menorca (very quiet) Majorca 3 times in the last 4 years and found that perfect

c'an picafort was one of the places ,the hotel was brilliant right on the beach "son baulo" was the hotel name, and it was really quiet ,but just a short(30 mins) walk up the coast to the busier part, perfect.

a friend of mine went to Croatia last year and couldn't speak highly enough of it

Just booked all ours for this year today. Italian cruise in April for my 40th. Dubai Atlantis palm again In may with all 5 of us. Cotswolds in the Summer and then Barbados next Xmas.

Chav wife said she had post Xmas blues

Hope to get 1 of two euro aways in as well.

lol, was a family wedding why we ended up there, about 10 years ago - didn't have chance to explore the island but thoroughly enjoyed the town and it's restaurants.

Menorca is amazing, those cliffs above the lagoon are worth visiting for on their own. Croatia I've heard lots good about, it's on the list.

Yeah, everyone I've spoken to says the town is amazing, tbf it looks jaw dropping from the photos I've seen.

One of my shitty "rubbed shoulders with a star footballer" stories came from there, I was eating in a fish restaurant with Paolo Maldini sat next to me on the next table, lol.

Wouldn't mind that, one of my heroes as a kid :)

Not sure whether to post this in the holiday thread or in the meeting footballers thread but when we went to C'an Picafort Colin Hendry was there too.

We've booked for cala bona this year. Was hoping someone was going to say there
