nowhere, don't do holidays - travel enough with the work, time at home with the kids is more than good enough

But does your wife and kids get the opportunity of getting away, without you ?

My 5 year old is now living in his 3rd different country so has seen enough of the world for someone so young, the 2 year old and the 5 month old couldn't care less so long as they have everyone together so travelling around is not really a priority. My wife and I would prefer to spend the money on a nice house, take the kids out and about on day trips rather than away somewhere - plus we both detest beach holidays.

Travelling for work is just get up in the middle of the night, sit in a taxi, sit in an airport, sit on a plane and repeat, it's not getting away and the thought of doing it when I have a choice is just abhorrent to be honest.

Fair comment then leith.

Get back from a month in Peru, Argentina and Brazil over Christmas/New Year and then will do a city break possibly to Barcelona, possible to Budapest. Going to Greece in June for a week and then hopefully get to India in September.

Trans Atlantic Bahamas cruise in March then either a few long weekends with the caravan or another fortnight somewhere later on.... Maybe Italy... Greece

I'm off to Japan in November next year, will try for a summer break to Italy but will struggle as just bought a house and needs the full works doing!
