Holidays

Just booked another cruise with Royal Carribean around New Zealand and some South Pacific islands, Vanuatu, Fiji.
Leaving in 2 weeks so copped a real bargain. We're diamond+ level now so 5 free drinks a day each.
I'll be hitting the Drambuie. :)

Did Kyoto and Tokyo a few years back brilliant holiday
Loads of temples ,Geishas in Kyoto
Would have to say try and fit in Hiroshima if poss only for the Peace Park
Couldnt believe i was standing where the bomb went off only 60 years ago

Are you going to ‘The Boatyard’ mate ?

Used to love it there (loved Bridgetown in general tbf) but always get the Boatyard song popping up in my head even now.

“At the Boatyard baby woah Ho Ho Barbados” ;-).
 
Off to Lanzarote Costa Teguise in the morning . Always go this time of year and get back just in time for the Cheltenham Festival.
 
Did a week in Jordan with the mrs and our three kids under 6. Got back last Tuesday. Easyjet Gatwick-Aqaba for £100 despite it being half term. Wasn't sure about doing that flight with the three kids being 5, 4 and 1 but they were amazing.

As for Jordan, what a place! Petra was insane, just surreal when you first see it and the whole site has so much more to see as well. But for me, the desert was the highlight. It really is like being on another planet. Friendly people out there and a lovely few days relaxing on the beach at the Red Sea to end it. First "backpack" style holiday with the kids and rather than cure the itch it has made me want to do more now.

Sugar Bay which is a couple of miles up the coast from St Lawrence Gap. Never been before. Flying with Aer Lingus who have two flights a week ex Manchester.
 
Did a month last year pre Easter @Cala Bona for pennies circa £340 PP including flights, transfers, digs,and a nice Tui rep to hold our hands. Weather was fair to middling for a week with the rest bordering on the dismal, with ten foot swells and much precipitation, but we made do and mend.

We were considering going again this March as the locals told us the weather in 2022 was not par for the course and that most of mainland spain had taken a hit with storms and high winds. So glad we steadied the reigns and eased off the gas, otherwise we'd have been building snowmen for the duration. Dodged a bullet for sure.
