Holidays

Out of interest, how does Vienna compare to Prague and Zurich? Looking at my next city break. I have liked at Zurich in the past but was looking at Vienna last night. Never been to Prague. It looks beautiful.

Ps- yes, your timing going to Karlsruhe could not have been worse.
Vienna is a lovely city. 2nd only to Prague in my opinion. Quite pricey though.

Vienna is an amazing city. Loads to do, loads to see, beautiful buildings, museums and galleries largely in one area and a public transport system second to none.

Malaga bound. There were a group of lads in the airport bar at John Lennon in matching Boy Scout uniforms. They looked too old to be in a patrol so I hope it was a nerd themed stag.

Anyone been to Albania. Considering it for next year.
I'm looking at driving down to Albania via Vienna, Bratislava and Croatia before a look at a bit more of the Balkans and then getting the ferry to Italy from Durres. Not until the end of August though so if anyone can help me also, much appreciated.

I wanted to go this summer as it's got incredible beaches and is much cheaper than the rest of Europe and as I'm restricted to school holidays now it looked a good option. Flights there were quite pricey though so didn't go in the end. My wife's colleague goes every summer as her husband is Albania. Looks class. Great beaches, mountains and the mafia tend to do their dirty work abroad so pretty safe.

Another one here planning to go to Albania, incl a stop at Lake Ohrid on the North Macedonia border, but next year. Would love to hear any recommendations, we'll be on the ferry from Bari to Durres.

Looks like we'll be going in the opposite direction. To Italy rather than from there. Drop me a message, after November as a reminder, and I'll help where I can.

Yes. I didn’t enjoy it. Whilst maybe we were sitting targets as we were 1000+ Welsh football fans, we were overcharged everywhere. Nowhere put the cheaper drinks on and then they moved on to bottles.
