Yeah, really like the Khao Lak area. Some of the nicest beaches I've experienced, and such lovely people. Off to Sri Lanka in a few weeks for the first time.

Great places for a holiday and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I spent 15 years there and loved it but wouldn't go back these days.
I know what you mean but we have been going twice a year for 20 odd years so kinda know where to go/not go

We’re going for Christmas & new year, never been to Egypt before looking forward to it, hope your enjoying it pal ;)In Hurghada atm and it’s very hot as wanted some sun before Christmas .

Elounda in Crete is one of the nicest places we have been, Can't go wrong with Lindos.Right you filthy animals I need some advice, we are looking at a Greek holiday next year and I’ve seen Stoupa mentioned on here and it looks like our kind of place and I also like the look of Lindos
If any of you have been to the two places any feedback would be most welcomed or any other nice Greek resorts you might think are better bearing in mind direct flights are a must as we can really be arsed with the whole trains, planes and automobiles bollocks as we are nearing FoC status.

I know where you mean. A bit far out for us. We stay at a little place on Nang Thong Beach and have done for the last 10 years or so.The Grand Mercure

We really enjoyed Stoupa. It's a bit like turning the clock back 30 years as far as the looks and atmosphere are concerned(we went in September though). Nice beach and crystal clear water. We did hire a car for a few days and enjoyed getting round the peninsula. Some of the restuarants, we had to check the bill as the were such good value. Lindos gets rammed depending on the time of year and can be unbearably hot compare with the rest of the island.
We were surprised how good Kefalonia was staying just outside the main town so easy access for shopping and easy connection from the airport.

I've done it many times by car and that's about right.Doing a private taxi from Phuket to Krabi in March says around 2 and half hours is this right ?

Car would no doubt be quicker and it's not a bad drive, in fact quite scenic in places. You could always break the journey in Phang Nga if you wanted.Cheers . We thought about boat but you have to get to harbour from airport then from krabi harbour to airport to airport .
I have never been by boat but I'd imagine it would be a nice journey.

I’m sat in Schiphol waiting for my connection to Osaka. I’m off to Japan & South Korea for a few weeks. It will be my first time in Korea so excited to be going there and really looking forward to the food!
