Holidays

Thanks for the recommendations for a Greek holiday next year, plumped for two weeks in Parga, hotel just over from the main beach and around 15mins walk into the harbour and town.
Stayed there in 2008 just pre takeover. Travelled back the day Villa beat us 4-2 opening game I think. Really enjoyed it, basic hotel but fantastic restaurant attached to it. We were round the bay from the harbour on Voltos beach, it was a tough walk up a few hundred steps over the headland to the town / harbour….

We plan to up our uphill step count or make full use of the €3 water taxi, we’re on Valtos beach

I prefer around 10 nights subject to the flights available.

Normally that would be our max but we’ve just decided we need a proper unwind, I’m a specialist in doing fuck all if allowed and to be honest the price difference on the hotel was less than £300 for the four nights extra and the Tui Black Friday code pretty much paid for it.

The only cat shit in the moussaka is the tourist tax which pretty much covers all of Greece nowadays and even on off boarding from cruise liners to a couple of the islands.

Yeah, really like the Khao Lak area. Some of the nicest beaches I've experienced, and such lovely people. Off to Sri Lanka in a few weeks for the first time.
Really interested in what you think of Sri Lanka
My eldest did a month hospital placement there as part of her masters and loved the country and the people
Some of the pics she sent of the places she visited were stunning
Have you booked your accommodation for your entire visit?
Her and her colleagues were picking up accommodation for weekend stays at beach resorts and five star hotels literally for pennies

Yes, all accommodation is booked, though we are open to some change once we are there. We are initially basing ourselves in Bentota. This will allow us to get back up to Colombo for the England cricket ODIs. For the second part we have booked a couple of places further south, in Ahangama. I believe we can access all the southern coastline from here. We are going back to Colombo for the last day, before flying home.

Just sat in the hotel in Tegise where we had an upgrade....spent a week in Mrs Moon's sister's appt but as they've just come over and it's one bed, we've moved over the road for a couple of nights to party with them...it maybe algorithms but a Black Friday deal at 50% off has just popped up on Jet2 for late April which covers away games.....booked felt it'd be very rude not to.
