Cheers for that mate, it's unbelievable that an enquiry is deemed as a claim.
It's no surprise that Lloyds TSB were heavily implicated as being twats.
A system that was set up to protect honest claimants is being used as a financial weapon against them. Insurance companies are fucking vermin.

There's been a lot about this in the press lately and believe it or not if you make an enquiry but don't claim, like you did, they can do exactly what they did!
There's nothing you can do about it.

Oh yes there is.

please give us the benefit of your experience and point out where the BBC and the insurance experts on there were wrong?

Or is it hot air?

I'm just guessing here, but I think stonerblue's advice would be "get a fucking big alsation".
I could well be wrong though.

I didn't realise he's the clown with no insurance.

I'd like to see his dog rebuild his house after a fire.

An episode of Lassie i must have missed.

back to the op, this was on watchdog, what they were saying is say you smash your laptop screen and then phone the insurance to see if your covered and your not then the enquiry is loged and you are classed as a risk for you next renewal so your insurance goes up the following year

I've got no time for insurance companies, money grabbing bsatards. But if they were really creaming it, there would be a load more trying to get in on the market.

Fact is that many of them are losing money in the 'where theres blame' culture. Some people are making a fortune out of dodgy claims, the rest of us are paying.

The insurance companies keep telling us this. However I don't believe a fucking word they say.
They are just creaming us cos they can. If they weren't blaming fraudulent claimants for the increases, they'd be blaming the boogie. They are lying, thieving cunts who would rip the gold fillings out your dead granma's teeth for their underwriters. I don't like 'em.
