You sucked yourself off at Jackson's Boat? Legend!Got sucked off down there once myself.
What like flatten the hills and fill in the rivers? There are lots of flood plain precautions and measures in place. The environment agency does do something about it.When is the government or the council going to take flooding more seriously and actually do something about it! People lives are being ruined!

The edam will save it.How’s the Cheese Hamlet doing?
Luckily near parswood/ didsbury there’s lots of fields and flood plains to soak the water up.
the new airport road on the other hand is flooded again… floods every time there is a bit of rain. Whoever built it did a terrible job.
The M60 opened with "Road liable to flooding' signs before the first vehicle got its tyres wet!Luckily near parswood/ didsbury there’s lots of fields and flood plains to soak the water up.

They still do, it's why golf courses are all along there plus Sale Water Park. All have sluices to flood the area and its why I smile when I read posters putting stay safe blues. It must be a modern thing !Didn`t they use to open a sluice and flood Withington golf club to try and lower the river.
Post of the year so far. I doff my cap in your general direction...The edam will save it.
That new road is so badly designed. Not sure if the pumps aren't strong enough or what but that floods whenever there's a tiny bit of rain nevermind after a storm.
Not where Im sitting its not, reminds me of last time the river got high and the media made out that west dids was underwater, yes the river is high and a few roads near it might suffer, but the way its reported is that we all sat on our roofs waiting to be saved.Mersey is down below the footpaths in West Didsbury.
