The bloke who ran the specials, Howard something, used to always say that he could predict our away following almost exactly by seeing how many were on the special and multiplying it by 10.

Probably why my mate reckoned there were 5000 or so at SJP for that 1983 game. He was on the special that day and said it was rammed so if there were 600 or more on it as the other poster said and you multiply that by 10 ;)

I was 17, My Brother and 2 of his pals were mid 20s. We had parked on a bit of waste ground . When we returned there was a small group of Leeds fans attacking a couple of blokes next to their car. My Brother calmly opened the back of his van, handed a couple of large tools to his 2 mates, all silently ,they proceeded to equalise the situation, that is all I will say. Pre CCTV.
It was quite a crazy day. I think it was the same match a City fan turned on Mcqueen in the centre circle.

We played them in the league at Elland Rd and drew them in the cup straight after the league results were done. I was in the post match traffic with my dad when that draw was made…. He had no choice but the take me to that cup game the minute the balls came out i was on him. What a great day that cup game was.

Seems a lifetime ago that I was at those 2 Leeds away games.

Went on the coach to the '77 game and the train from Staleybridge for the latter which was a bit scary getting back to Leeds station as a 15 year old.

Fucking brilliant buzzing times tho.
