Hooliganism and Violence Maine Road 80's/early 90's

My mum and dad used to listen to "Sing something simple" on the Light Programme on Sunday evening.
I don't think my mum would have been very happy with her eldest son singing the football version !!
I used to hate that. My dad used to listen to it on Sunday night, always had the connection with shit it’s school next day

Does anyone remember this chant.

“Beat them on the head, beat them on the head, beat them on the head with a baseball bat, on the head, on the head!”

Imagine singing that now. Lol,
I can’t ever see the let him die let him die let him die chant that was used when a player went down injured ever making a come back either.

City are on London Road, across the road from the ramp that goes up to Piccadilly Station. The building behind City is 111 Piccadilly. The picture was taken from the top deck of the bus.

One of the comments there from Paul Birley.
A top lad from Heywood.
We used to go on plenty of Guv'nor trips together back in the day
