I'm not sure whetehr that's for girls or kids. Maybe girl-kids.

The people on my facebook who are into housemusic are mostly dorks from school who are trying desperately hard to be cool. Going on about 'sick' nites to DJ's an 'ripping up' 'filthy beat's. Really cringeworthy

i'd say it would slot in to a good night somewhere. not had the pleasure but it perks me up. maybe i should see someone. anyway, it's armand van helden

It was one of my alltime faves as a matter of fact I was still playing it upto the point I packed in DJing in 98

where did you DJ, mate?

Song of Life - that bassline gave me goosepimples in a club.

I used to be off my nut in London clubs and go near the DJ stand screaming "Leftfield!" at the top of my voice. Darren Emerson once played it last at The Limelight and i thought I was going to combust with excitement.

House now is very elctro but what is amazing is progressive house, some of the most technical music on the market.

See Deadmau5 and learn. Saw him a few week ago at Cream in Liverpool! Simply a genius!

I lived in the Midlands between 1991 - 1998 and was resident DJ at a number of clubs in Derby, Bring Yer Legs, Shopping, Innocence. I regularly played at Moneypenny's, Deluxe, Progress, Goodbye Cruel World, the House and also guested at MoS, Golden, Gods Kitchen, Hot to trot and many more

Leftfield Song for Life was awesome. It still gives me goosepimples now and that is without any chemical assistance.

Mate Prog House has been around since the mid 90's with the sound pioneered by Renaissance with DJs such as Sasha, Digweed, Nick Warren, Ian Ossia, Kimball & Deckar, Justin Robertson, Paul Daley (Leftfield)

Top tracks were coming out of the states by the likes of BT, Taylor, Kimball & Deckard and UK sounds on labels such as Limbo, Whoop, Platipus, early Boys Own

Good on you, Crystal.

i once went clubbing in Derby and it was The House. This would have been around and about Feb 96 at a guess. In fact it was the night City drew 3-3 with Newcastle so I could tell you the exact date if I looked it up. It had a massive double bed in the chillout room. A dealer took our money - lots of it - then vanished in a lift behind him. He then reappeared with a load of Es a few minutes later.

I really thought we'd been ripped off but he was good as his word.

Would you have been playing?
