GOT drifted and the quality dropped when the authors input declined/ended,but 'ruined' is a bit much.....it still remained an entertaining watch for many.
Give this a go,its difficult to be invested yet....but it feels as though they have captured the early days of GOT well,and the characters are portrayed well by the actor choices.

I specifically meant the last season tbh, it went fucking bananas and i don't think i'll ever get over it :D

Yeah,it was rushed and felt amateurish in storyline and depth.It did deserve better,but it still found a conclusion.

This seems more like the first 6 seasons of GoT rather than the terrible last 2 seasons. Benioff and Weiss really messed up those last 2 seasons s i can see why people are reluctant to try this. I would give it a go though.

I love ASOIAF and GoT was a large part of my life for 10 years. I still get angry at how they executed the ending at times. However, being back in Westeros with Ramins music gave me goosebumps. I feel like I have gotten back with an ex and this time is going to work out!

The mention of the long winter and the Prince that was promised made me tear up, I’m just pushing season 8 out of my head and I don’t care if it’s fan service but I hope the “Snow” series gets made and they retcon the ending to make the whole Azor Ahai (Prince that was promised) stuff actually important.
