This will be a mistake by Pep. Gundogan is a DM. The game control DM. Rodri should be the steel DM. Dihno should not being playing in midfield and Gundogan should not be playing CM.That's what I've been saying. I think signing another winger would make sense. From what I heard we tried making Coman a part of the Sané deal, but Bayern didn't accept.
But maybe Pep's thinking this:
- DMs Rodri/Ferna
- CMRs De Bruyne/Gundo
- CMLs Foden/ Aouar
- RWs Bernardo/ Mahrez
- LWs Sterling/ Torres
Would be scary if De Bruyne got injured. I'd definitely use Bernardo as CML, Aouar as CMR and sign a new winger, preferably a left-footed one who plays on the left side, like Sané.
Phil's minutes are the ones you'd expect to see given to an emerging academy player, not a big signing.
The majority of his appearances were as a substitute and the majority of the ones he started were as a wide player. We've already signed a wide player and now we're looking likely to sign a midfielder.
He's already found it difficult to break into a stacked squad and now we're looking to cram it further with established first team players. We're essentially losing one player who provided him with competition and replacing him with two.
Could you translate this for us who don't know our fractions?

It should not be taking Pep 2 seasons to see the obvious
Mentioned it as a thought last night, but the more I think of it the more I like the idea, with Lillo on board a 4231We could see the difference with Foden, Sterling & Jesus harrassing Real Madrid & it's easy to imagine similar difference in midfield & defence & how difficult that team would be, to play against, than the one which played Lyon.
So you divide the first number by the second.Could you translate this for us who don't know our fractions?
So you divide the first number by the second.
The lower number, the higher the probability it's going to happen.
So to come to City it's 2.25, to go to Arsenal it's 3.5 and to Liverpool it's 9.
So basically the bookies are saying he's most likely to go to City, there's a good chance of Arsenal, and anyone else is a long shot.
It is also clear that Fern is done as a central midfield
