Houssem Aouar

I am going to go with my instinct and i am calling bullshit on this transfer.

There seems to be a buzz about this transfer, but there hasn't been any credible links. I know some people have said the deal is already done, but it must be the best kept secret in the world if it has already been done. Surely there would be some leaks from inside the club on either side.

If we don't sign him or was never interested in the player in the first place, then the people who have talked this transfer up need to be held accountable. Why would anyone lie just for a bit of clout or attention?

Like i said, i hope the people that have hung their hat on this transfer are telling the truth, but there is no backtracking on this one. If it doesn't happen, people need to come out and admit that they have bullshitted for clout and attention.
the bloke that said it,doesnt need to do anything for clout or attention, just read his fucking excellent posts in the FFP court case thingymabob

Can't see this happening unless we move a player on - one who no one has thought about leaving. I don't think Pep will sell Gundogan (most fans choice) and I really hope Bernardo doesn't leave, which leaves me with Mahrez or Jesus being sold. We will be covered out wide with the signing of Torres and the fact Sergio will be fit again, and Jesus can move to play wider, plus we will need him as I can't see Sergio playing more than 25 games per season. Mahrez will be 30 soon and would interest several clubs in France, PL and maybe even Barca could see him adding something as they need a spark? Someone has to be sacrificed and my choice is Riyad.

I hope we are looking at Aouar because he would give us continuity as a core of Foden, Torres and Jesus all under 23. Makes good sense and he would have no trouble fitting into our systems. We must not get to having a team where they all reach 30+ at the same time.

What exactly does "held accountable" mean to you? Should they be made to stand on the Nexen Tire bridge wearing a sandwich board saying "WUM" on it at the next home match with fans?

The very first line of your post says "I am calling bullshit on this transfer" - if we sign Aouar, do you need to be held accountable?

Losing out on this guy to Arsenal would be a bit of a piss take. I know we need to look at the squad, but Aouar and KDB working as 8's would be fucking fantastic. Foden and Bernardo can fight with Sterling, Mahrez and Ferran for the wings and these two for the 8's, Gundo, Rodri and Fern for the 6. It makes perfect sense for a squad IMO.

According to reports in France, Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar has put Juventus at the top of his wish-list, ahead of PSG, Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Their interest in the 22-year-old talent has been going for well over a year, which may give them the advantage in an eventual bidding war.

The asking price is over €50m, which only increased with the run to the Champions League semi-finals.
