Who would he be replacing? I doubt it’s Gundogan, so I don’t see the merit in this. There are other positions urgently needing attention. I’d rather focus on that left side, where we have obvious problems at left-back and left-wing, with Sane looking likely to leave.

Gundogan will go eventually either this summer, or maybe the summer after. Doubt getting Aouar it has any impact on other positions we do or don’t recruit in though.

If a massive club wants him, they will pay the 35M price. Otherwise they think he's not worth it.
