Personally, I just couldn’t not renew. I love it. Even though I agree with the VAR related arguments, I’ll just hope that it eventually gets sorted to a reasonable level.
Love the phrase "Life sentence without parole". Fuck me,even murderers get let out after 20 years. I have been doing my time for 54 years in March.I think they will sort VAR next season. I'll never stop going to City. It's a life sentence with no parole. To much emotion invested now to jack it in. I love drinking in the Northen Quarter and matchdays make the winter bearable in this country.
Agree - us older blues have been through far worse periods in the past - that’s not to say everything is perfect with the club or the game in general atm - but fans should support their club through all the ups and downs imo and I don’t ever consider not renewing - but of course everyone’s personal circumstances will have an influence tooPersonally, I just couldn’t not renew. I love it. Even though I agree with the VAR related arguments, I’ll just hope that it eventually gets sorted to a reasonable level.
Ambivalent about renewing SC. Mainly due to the farce and corruption of VAR. Also not happy that longstanding blues are increasingly taken for granted year on year in stumping up hard earned cash with price increases with all but one price freeze since the takeover.
The club say they want and need us yet we have been made to feel like pawns on a chessboard as the club clearly think more of corporate and new fans. Not the same club nowadays. Only two things remain from Maine road, our sky blue shirt colour and us supporters that remember the good times bad times and present good times.
Don't get me wrong, I'm as proud a blue as anyone and I will never divorce City. I love most of what has happened since the takeover.
Personally speaking though I feel as my support of almost 50 years like it means less to the club than the club means to me. Corporate and padded heated seats, where if you try and get up to try spark a song going, and you feel as though you're frowned upon and looked at in disdain for breaching the football peace!
Perhaps I should just stop going and stop moaning. But City passion is within every pore of my skin.
Difficult decision is looming for me.
When you walked through puddles in the Kippax car park, queued 100 yards to get into a decrepit old stand, when you stood on a terrace with one inch high steps, straining for a view ,or sat in the gene Kelly stand, getting piss wet through, did you really feel that the club loved you. When Peter Swales was stealing thousands of quid, and running the club into the ground , did you feel the club loved you?
I really feel some people have choosy memories, about the good old days. We are watching an incredible set of players, managed by a genius. People should be enjoying this, when pep goes, we may well not be the same team, plenty of time then for the moaners.
Its everyone's choice if they go or don't, but to to constantly criticise the club over the smallest issues is wrong. Please don't think this is a personal attack, It isnt ,it's just my thoughts and feelings. You must choose what is right for you.
Fine.
Watching the best team we might ever see regaining their trophy will be extremely satisfying.
