How bothered are you about the FA Cup this season?

I'd obviously love to win it but I find it hard to get excited about the early rounds against other premier league teams. It feels like just another premier league game and too far away from the cup to get that invested in. Once you get past a few rounds though the excitement kicks in and I really want to win it. If we got some interesting draws then I'd be a lot more up for it, but playing other premier league teams just turn into fairly dull, almost B team games where both sides try and decide just how many players they can get away with rotating

Same here, 6th Round onward is where it gets going

All our cup games this season have felt like an extension of the league - Swansea, United and now West Ham. Shame we can't draw someone like Newport, Barnsley etc, then it would feel like a cup weekend

I'm not sure it helps the debate to describe it in terms of being bothered. Certainly when I'm watching the West Ham game I will be very bothered as I am whenever City play. I would probably have bought a ticket for the game if I could get home afterwards. But I doubt that the level of "bother" that I will feel will remotely compare to the tension I felt before, for example, the Arsenal or Barca games.

I hate the fact that this thread even exists.
Realistically it's the only competition we can win this season.
So yes, a full on play to win.

How can this even be a thread. The question in itself indicates some are slowly but surely growing to be like our small-minded neighbours living in London.

As I said in the OP, I want to win this as much as anyone but obviously I'd prefer the EPL or UCL as would (I think) any City fan.

The thread is just to see if anyone has a different opinion and what their reasons for that are.

You don't get the message.
We should be happy and humble that our club is in a situation that we have a better chance winning silverware, something fans from other clubs can only dream about. Just like we did in not so distant history. I expect City-fans to remember where they come from and stop discussing idiotic threads like what kind of silverware we'd prefer as if we are about to win at least one of them. That is how you gain respect from other fans and stop being labelled as arrogant. Btw I have lived through so many years, even decades without winning anything other than promotion after relegation, so I still cherish whatever win, a game or a prize. The only thing any Cityfan should prefer is to win the next game. Like any other fan of a footballclub.
