How clever are you?

Are we talking quick witted smartarse type of clever like TMQ or Swales lives or are you talking large brain like Skashion or Damocles. Is clever being immersed in your subject like Buzzer.

I fail on all these counts but I do have a few quid that I earned myself so what is clever?

I would seriously like to be a logical thinker, but try as I might, it just doesn't stick.
I've never understood a manual in my life. But I'll remember a song lyric or quote by some second rate pop singer forever. Fuckin' useless information is my thing.

seriously mate, you have a genius with words - BB2.0 will never be the same after cheeses, I am typical mediocre at everything but good enough at most things to hold my own so I float nearer the top of the pond than the bottom, but it's not very satisfying

or are you talking clever as in what skills you have and put to practice as in what i do for instance.

i suppose everybody has a certain kind of clever to them maybe?

That's a bit odd Lee, because the other week I was trying to remember which BM'er did stuff like that. Hubby is into old Churches and stuff and I think now we discussed this a couple of years ago.

Anyway, you are right I think.
Most people have a gift for something. It's just finding what.

I am crap at practical stuff and woeful at DIY. Even finding the water tap makes my brain go numb. But give me a book and ask me to write and explain what I feel about the story and I am in my element. In fact, anything that requires description and words and I love it.

I can also sit and look at accounts for just minutes and work out where there has been an error.

Cheers Ronnie, nice of you to say. I have ideas (screenplays, comedy sketches etc), but I don't have the drive to see them through. Sends my missus up the wall, myself too sometimes, when I see the mediocre crap out there. One day though 'eh.

Poor old BB2.0, that 'swingers' thing was never planned, just a happy accident that seemed to flow perfectly. I very nearly didn't press "submit" on that poem. Glad I did though.
