A hive of remoanery?Love this thread - a real hive of remoanery
Plus it is very hard and in fact in many cases for someone who was a flag shagging card carrying torch bearer for Brexit impossible to admit it’s turned out to be a pile of Harry Maguires!!! An absolute disaster.A hive of remoanery?
No, what it's about is leavers not understanding what they voted for.
You heard project fear, believed the NHS would receive £350m a week, we could control our borders by 'taking back control', and the world would be beating on our door to strike amazing trade deals with us.
The reality of brexit is none of that obvious bullshit which even you can probably see now. No, what leaving was about was the extreme right wing that now runs the country ridding itself from the shackles our membership, in their minds, forced us into.
The bonfire of 'EU red tape' is a trashing of our rights of protest, free speech, employment, environmental and food quality protections.
Have a look at the communications bill now making its way through Parliament. Criticism of the government can land a person in prison for up to 10 years, and the decision to put that person in prison isn't through a court case involving a judge and jury, but the Home Secretary.
The NHS. We had to have a government managed free at the source of use health system. Now we have left, the government have wasted no time from ridding itself from that obligation and has passed legislation that will soon transfer our healthcare into the hands of largely American run companies where profit comes first.
Democracy. Parliament has debated and voted on legislation for centuries. It is Parliament that has been the legislative body, and government has been the executive. There is now such an abuse of Statutary Instruments there is very little debate in Parliament, and laws are being imposed on us now by individual ministers without even a discussion in the cabinet, let alone Parliament.
None of the above could have happened while we were members of the EU, and I could expand on those abuses of power.
You probaly voted leave. You probably didn't understand how our membership of the EU protected us from the worst excesses a quasi fascit far right government could have on us.
You swallowed the bullshit without any understanding of how the far right will crush you over the coming years.
Tell us what’s great about Brexit then. That’s what this thread is supposed to be about. Trouble is no one’s thought of anything yet.Love this thread - a real hive of remoanery
Fair play to you mate, but in terms of the second part of this sentence, why wouldn’t they? I don’t understand why people get so worked up and/or are surprised by this. It seems an entirely natural reaction to our unilateral decision to leave their club. I don’t understand why anyone would expect any different. Divorces are messy affairs and tend to bring out the worst in the participants, even when both sides are largely blameless, especially when the finances are complicated.I hold my hand up I voted leave, but this is a complete shit show now, I do think the EU are making it harder than it should be just so more don’t

I was listening about the media bill going through which basically the government can sensor for example a comedian saying a joke people find offensive they can take it down off TV! This is censorship we do not need, next burning books!
I do wonder if another referendum could be done, if the Scots can have one, although how the hell that would work, wouldn’t we need a hard border etc if they left and joined the EU?
People like you should be matched down the M20 to Dover and made to apologise to every single family queuing to get to France.Love this thread - a real hive of remoanery
The difference being a growing number of Scots are demanding a second referendum. There appears to be no such momentum in England where people seem happy to yell ‘remoaner’ and ‘gammon’ at each other whilst the lives of the vast majority become materially poorer.I do wonder if another referendum could be done, if the Scots can have one, although how the hell that would work, wouldn’t we need a hard border etc if they left and joined the EU?
