How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

bloody annoying, I live at Ebbsfleet

Having looked into it a bit more it seems that the issue is that although there may be enough of you who want to stop there the problem is there in no means of checking that you are not an "illegal" who can afford better travel than a dinghy........ who is not making that investment you ask? Is it the train operators - 55% French and 45% Belgian - its the British Govt who failed to prepare yet again for when the Eurostar was set up we were EU members but as a 3rd country we have to do border checks. Eurostar won't stop there because - like lorry drivers - they face a massive fine for each "illegal" immigrant that comes in on their train so you have to be put out in teems and time and cost because your Govt did nothing to take back control of the borders................think about that

Whether it's Brexit, covid, sars, family, love interests, alcohol, management careerists or other ne'er do wells. There's always something or someone that will come along and mess your life up.
You're pretty lucky if you can avoid all these potholes in life.

Trouble is, most of those have landed all at the same time for many.
Oh, and real potholes too.

so the idea isn't bad its the application that has failed us? The predicted final destination of a former UKIP leader has now been reached

The lack of vision, competence and ability in British politics was one of the reasons I voted remain. Anyone who failed to identify that is a fool. One only has to look at today’s cabinet and compare it to Blair or Thatcher’s first (for example) to see just how far standards have dropped. I am genuinely amazed that anyone is remotely surprised at this systemic failure. It was so easy to predict.

Our political system is broken and membership of the EU therefore strengthened democracy in this country and leaving has weakened it.

A supreme act of folly and hubris that will reduce us hugely as a nation.

We’ve fucking blown it, basically.

You're a happy camper this afternoon.
