How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

I know what I would put it down to.

A word rhyming with brick.
Maybe but even dumb animals react when they are harmed. In this country it seems like a selection of the electorate can absorb all the hurt and pain and when asked if they would like some more, say yes please. Thank you very much. Doffs cap and bows/curtsies.

People on social media who reply to MEN stuff seem to blame Labour for how little investment there has been in the city.

It’s hard to invest when they receive no money and can’t apply for EU grants anymore, yet somehow the penny hasn’t dropped for them.

Nobody has, save some Conservative commentators who have been signalling to the Tories of the danger of a coalition winning and legislating electoral reform. None of the parties have admitted there is a non-aggression pact let alone what might/might not have been agreed regarding PR etc.
Don't forget there was a referendum on PR in 2011 to appease the Libs in the Cameron Clegg coalition.

They (the Tories) deliberately avoided supporting it and planted confusion amongst the masses. Remember the "some votes will be counted twice" stories?

Was relatively simple alternative vote option where you voted 1, 2, 3 ranking. If your 1 didn't win, your vote was added to your 2 choice etc. until a clear winner.
Result was 68/32 rejection.
We still have FPTP and you can win with 35-40%.

It was a shit version of AV to be fair. It was never going to win.

Considerable water has passed under the bridge since then, and that’s why I think the Liberal Democrats would make legislated reform a condition of their forming a coalition.

I would hazard a guess that people like you've described, are of a certain age and get all their political views from the likes of the sun.
