How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

There is no way to return to the old arrangement the UK had with the EU i wager, it wont be of the nature of "we like this and that but we wanna opt out of these". It’s going to be full package i bet or nothing, especially since i doubt the Eu is waiting for UK membership after all that hassle.

Yep. No one wants the hassle. Over time we will edge back into the orbit of EU rules and regs with a forum set up for us to discuss issues to make us feel better.

We will have a ‘Potemkin membership’.

Looks like membership but a facade?

Another example of a Brexit success story I suppose.

Absolute farce of a government that has lumped another billion quid on the UK consumer, brought into play just as they’re being fucked off out of the door.

That scorched earth policy in full swing, I’ll ensure I remember this approach for every election and remind those even thinking about bringing these cunts back.

The illusion of membership where we follow all the rules and get to pretend we have a say in formulating them.

And our politicians go back to blaming the EU for everything. They were happier then. Brexit just makes them miserable.

So - we took back control by handing control to Spain? Its like Brexit benefits may not exist after all

Just more nonsense. They're talking about having Spanish / Schengen area border controls in the airport rather than on the border (so people can pass freely between Gib and Spain without going through any control.

Apparently this challenges UK sovereignty, as in one committee member's question: "the British Government are conceding that there should be foreign border officials operating on British soil. What has changed in respect of the current border that means we have to remove the controls from that location?"
Does he not know that French border police operate in St Pancras station for Eurostar?

Mind you, it is David Jones, one of the ERG types, who actually came up with "Gibraltar is as British as Berkshire". And thinks British "sovereignty" is more important than what the people of Gibraltar want (they voted 96% to remain in the EU).

Many Gibraltarians live in Spain ....if you are born in Gibraltar you automatically get entitlement to accommodation for 30 quid a week (thats a bit socialist).... they then sub let this for £1000's to holiday makers / tax avoiders. Thats why they dont like the border controls.

You only have to visit Estapona , Malaga and those towns along the coast to see the number of GIB reg plates,
