How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

No we are talking about why the UK is damaged by having to abide by the rules of the EU now we have left. Why you've gone off on this tangent about freedom of movement and I've followed not sure. The fact remains until we re align ourselves with the EU and it's rules, which we will and have started to do, then UK businesses will suffer.

90% of vets working in abattoirs were from the EU, so there's now a shortage. It was always the cheap option but it's a circular argument - lack of training for UK vets, but most vets would want more variety, and abattoir work seen as less skilled.

No country should have to genuflect for another, especially a supposed ally nation or group of nations.

Good post. I think everyone can see the benefits of a trading relationship with mainland Europe but the EU has turned into a political entity. Once you make it about politics then you are bound to hit trouble. Most of us want growth (except climate change zealots - Why no Climate related thread everyone?) Most of us love money, most of us love capitalism but if the price is having to follow someone elses political idealism then 'no thanks'. Trade yes, Politics no.

There is a climate thread but not enough people are interested in it because humans are generally happy to fuck whatever they want to make their own materialistic lives continue unabated.

People are cunts and like getting what they want so at least both threads would have that in common I suppose.

Nope, it's for anyone running a small or family business trading with the EU , it's for any young musicians starting out or established ones for that matter, it's for much of the hospitality sector, it's for health services.Sectors you obviously have little knowledge of, nor how they have been impacted.

I don't want it resolving I don't believe in big unions of sovereign countries. Its you lot that are crying about it so maybe you should get your heads together because you fucked it up big time previously.

You lot just moan over and over again giving examples of why you hold your view. Try discussing the thread title instead of boring every fucker who may wish to contribute.

Like you've discussed the title thread. Yes right. If you don't want it resolving don't join the thread about resolving it. As it is we will get closer ties to the EU over the next few years.

Learning by the mistakes made is a pretty good way to resolve problems. But self awareness never goes well on this thread.
Anyhow as you have just said don't join a thread about resolving something that doesn't even talk about resolving it gets you the dumbest poster of the day award.
