Come on, Moggy, wake up old bean, and accept the UK leaving the EU has increased the complexity of British businesses exporting to the EU which has reduced their competitiveness due to increased costs.
As a fully paid up member of the ERG, his belief that capitalism will grow the economy through free market solutions took a hell of a beating after the Truss and Kwarteng budget cost the treasury, and the tax payers, £30B. It increased mortgage payments for millions because the rest of the world wouldn't lend us any money while they rightfully thought a couple of nutters were running the country with their uncosted, back of a fag packet nonsense.
And as for the sovrinty (sic) argument, we never lost it. We were members of the EU with the power of veto, and we had democratically elected MEP's in the european parliament voting on legislation which was later ratified in the house of commons.
