How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

The one you are conversing with this morning is quite a nasty Brexit bot. He doesn’t listen to any evidence, will just try and discredit any source that you use and call you names.

He’s best ignored.
It was said (by myself I think) back before your referendum, if you are explaining, you are losing and this is the tactic that the Brexit campaign used, very effectively.
They flooded the media with misinformation in small sound bites.

By the time you or others had explained why these sound bites were wrong there was already another couple out to take their place.

Well the same is going on in here in the politics threads all the time.

It may be trite and occasionally I do it myself when things just seem so ridiculous that things aren’t worth arguing, but just putting up a one or two line put down in banter form, is as effective way of showing the pointlessness of debate.
Some might say lazy. But occasionally you lose the will to live in here.

That's some ego, when are you making your cure for cancer public?

The EU operates along similar lines to Uefa - if the rules don't allow a certain course of action they will change the rules. The one thing that was being nibbled away was the veto.

Thing is ,,,,,In my opinion we should've waited for an 'event' to happen (such as the formation of a European Army) to trigger a referendum . Not simply plowed ahead because of a fear that something may happen in the future. That would then focus the population on the issue instead of all the brexiteers voting to leave because of many many different reasons.

Dead right, I. I think the 'fear' was solely contained on the back benches of the Tory party and had been for a good while. There were vehement and vociferous pro- and anti-EU MP's who wanted a national referendum because they both thought they could win. Cameron promised one, gave in to one, and thought the British people would do the dirty work for him and quieten his back benches. But we all know it backfired mightily.

It’s simpler than that. We should have only voted on the Brexit proposal, whatever it was. Instead, we voted to leave something we knew, to move into something that nobody had planned for, other than those who stood to benefit from chaos and mayhem. We actually voted to jump of the cliff without knowing whether we had a parachute or whether there was an inflatable mattress. Turns out it was neither!

They played the poor, as they always do, lock stock and barrel. No more migrants will mean higher paid jobs. We currently have low unemployment but nobody can have a pay rise (I say nobody, obviously the stinking rich and the politicians can).

£350M A WEEK for the NHS. Ha.. Cheaper food and shoes.. Ha.
Take back control. Non EU migration bigger than its EVER been. Sadly people don’t like admitting they’ve been had over so it’s unlikely to change soon.

The only good news is the in-built majority wishing to rejoin the EU will only get bigger, every day.

The majority will now be inflated with those who voted to leave realising what they voted for hasn't materialised and they were sold a pig in a poke.

There are three personality types in the world:
1. Those that want to lead
2. Those that want to be loved
3. Those that have to be right.

Guess which one I am. Afraid I can’t help myself. :-)
Where are you going with this?
We all love you.
Your damned right. And anyone one who says your wrong is right too.

Is there a fourth category of person? Think I might fit in there.
