How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

Nobody voted for the bastardized stripped down version of brexit we have. You don't judge a sunday dinner missing key components from the plate.

Silly thread really.
Considering that it was pointed out over and over that the recipe for the oven ready dinner you were offered just didn’t add up to any sort of Sunday roast, it’s hardly surprising you were missing components.
I mean the ingredients were completely different.
Try ordering coq au vin in a restaurant but without chicken or wine.

It hasn't even been brexit. Also, it hardly been a disaster...unless you are one of those idiots who disingenously blames brexit for everything that came on the back of covid, while no doubt being pro lockdown, pro mask, pro goverment control, etc.

Full withdrawal from the EU with no deal and no european influence over the UK(the clue is in the word "exit"). That is brexit and that is what people voted for in 2016. Find me one brexiteer who didn't vote for exactly that in 2016. Its the government who disgustingly shifted the goalposts when their arrogance backfired after the referendum result came in.

The goverment flat out refused to deliver a real brexit...but i'd STILL take a tory shitshow than a bunch of champaigne socialists who would quite literally destroy our country. THATS why boris won in 2019.
I presume the official Leave liars didn't vote for "exactly that" because they said we'd still be in a free trade zone from Iceland to the Russian border. That was their goal.

If you can find any quotes from anyone connected with any of the Brexit campaigns who advocated full withdrawal with no deal, we'd welcome an honest debate, but at least while you're looking, you won't be wasting everyone's time on here with nonsense.

The deep state is stopping Brexit.

If it wasn't for undemocratic forces undermining Brexit there'd be another continent 22 miles away with which we could trade freely. Lefties have conspired to prevent Atlantis from existing. And the Commie bastards won't let us trade with Avalon, Narnia, La la Land and Brigadoon.

To be honest, it's gone WAY better than I expected.

I always thought Brexit was a completely idiotic decision and campaigned on here for months/years for a re-run or even cancelling of the referendum (result), Although towards the end of the debate I accepted that the referendum result must be respected.

I never in a million years thought we'd manage to get a trade deal that provided us with tariff-free trade with the EU. I thought they would NEVER agree to that and yet Boris, basically by taking no shit off them whatsoever, managed to deliver it.

Of course it's a shit show. But I thought it would be MUCH worse than this.

Strange take.
The EU have tariff free trade deals with dozens of countries, many with better terms than our deal.
Ours is reportedly a bare bones deal because of our government’s dogmatic approach.

Are you just after a bit of attention or you getting paid by the replies?

Stop it Chippy. You are starting to sound like a WUM. I knew it would be terrible news for the country and the union and a cultural and economic disaster. I never dreamt it would also deliver us the most embarrassingly inept government in living memory. Having to chew daily on that fetid turd of a by-product was a particularly unpleasant surprise.

You can poke your nose out of Tír na n-óg as well.
Whatever you’re offering, we’re not interested.
