Might be to intellectual a question for some on here
Discussed this with Blues recently and most far brighter than me, it pans out this way.
We are unique as a fan base down the years, bright ,witty and all out for a good time, an away match was a collective craic for everyone.
Even now songs that are beyond anything constructed by other teams fans,we leave everyone standing in our collective humour and intelligence.
But
In years to come the line in our fan base is drawn to post and Pre Glory years.
Pre Glory is awareness of who we are and where we came from with all the joy and sadness. The wit and reparptee, the dont give a f..k attitude.
Post Glory and I guess many many years of trophy winning all the sadness and joy we had at small success is forgotten.
The new fans we will attract in time will outnumber those of us today and all brought up on trophy after trophy my fear is that we will mirrer image that which we hate.
Is it inevitable ?
My fear is that it is
We will have gained but also lost a vital part of who we as a fan base are.
Maybe we need a Blue Rawk to instruct new blues the legacy
passed down and that new fans understand we are different from all others, we are unique as a fan base and always will be but that depends on you and me.
Any suggestions ?
