How do you get to Fulham?

Just another little snippet of info.

If travelling from Euston to Victoria on the Victoria line or arriving on the bus to Vickie bus station and then traveling from Victoria tube to Parsons Green on District Line then may be better walking one small stop and getting on at Sloane Square owing to following
..................................

VICTORIA STATION:
Major escalator refurbishment is taking place at Victoria Underground station until January 2012. Your journey will be easier if you can avoid entering the station between 1600 - 2000 on weekdays when: Queues are likely.
THERE WILL BE NO TICKETING FACILITIES.
A one-way system will be in place, including some entrances/exits. You may be asked to wait outside the station to prevent overcrowding. Once inside the station it may take up to 15 minutes to reach your platform. To avoid this disruption start your journey at nearby St. James's Park or Pimlico stations, which are easy to reach on foot or by local bus services from Victoria. For full details of how to avoid Victoria by using alternative Tube and bus routes in London and National Rail services to/from London visit

This will be the best option on Sunday

get 2 hammersmith and head for "charring cross hospital" approx 400yds from hammersmith follow fulham rd, past petrol station on r/h side go thro lights and take any of the roads on the right after app another 400yds ground is at the bottom of these streets(in total app 1kilometre from hammersmith and at least 3 "watering holes" on the way b4 the lights) much quicker than putney bridge DON,T GET A TAXI OR BUS WALK COS THE TRAFFIC IS TERRIBLE WITHOUT 20,000 + ppl going to a football match!! njoy ;-)

I'd recommend Hammersmith as best option. Plenty of boozers and just as close as Putney Bridge. Very straightforward walk to the ground too.
