What opposition teams and fans say of a player tells you how high regard that player is held.

Go on any other fans forum. He’s lauded.
His leaving us, and the videos Sky etc put on. Not one bad comment.

The best player the league has ever seen for me, not just our club. The league. I miss him.
 
Just imagine how good he’d have been with a right foot ; )
He was phenomenal, a magician, a warrior, an artist and a gentleman.

He knew exactly what his touch had to be in order to keep the oppo chasing ghosts. Only a handful of players in the history of the game can do that.

He is the perfect midfielder imo.

My only gripe and it’s not against silva was that with mancini and to an extent Pellegrini I felt that they didn’t always play him in his correct position. Too may times they tried to play him as a traditional winger or play in that silly 4222 formation.

Absolutely had to be played as a ten behind the forward of part of a midfield 3.
