How good was Yaya?!

As others have said, an absolute colossus and right up there with the very best to wear the shirt. ‘Shame about the other stuff.

Still the same answer from me.... Nope.

Peak Yaya Toure was in the top 5 players I've seen in my lifetime; Maradona, Pele, Ronaldo, and Messi. The only reason Yaya never won the Ballon D'or was that he hadn't been in a CL winning side.

The only other City players in my top 10 would be Colin Bell and David Silva (another player who would almost certainly have won the Ballon D'or if we had won the CL in his time)

As good as they were, Rodri, De Bruyne, and Fernandinho don't even come close to Yaya, Colin, or Spanish Dave in my opinion.
 
Best player in the Prem when he could be arsed, undoubtedly a massive part of our success but turned into a massive , intolerable, bellend towards the end.

Doesn't take away what he did on the pitch for us, but tarnishes his reputation in my opinion. If he hadn't done all this mad nonsense about his birthday cake, the racism accusations, claiming he wasn't allowed to see his brother etc. I'd be the first to say he should have gotten a statue.

Him and De Jong in particular together on the pitch were such a force.

It's all about opinions
 
I've seen all of them, our post-war legends and truly great players for all times, all generations.. Bert Trautmann, Johnny Crossan, Colin Bell, Francis Lee, Ali Benarbia, Yaya, David Silva, Vinnie, Sergio, KDB, Rodri, Fernandinho, Ederson, Haaland.. but choosing one over the others is like 'Sophie's Choice'! Please, don't make me do it..!!

Yaya,Spanish Davve and Gareth Barry together a much bigger force than De Jong and Yaya will ever be.
