How is everyone coping?

If you’re in constant pain why don’t you need surgery? I suppose you’re being palmed off with medication. Have you even been offered physiotherapy?
Drone, I have been offered fuck all. I spoke via the phone to a neurologist who said I was too old to suffer Migraines but then promptly prescribed very strong migraine tablets, they made me ten times worse.

oh yes, I have had a CT scan, an MRI scan and a Cervical scan. It is funny in this covid world that the people doing the scans can see you but doctors cant. Basically the Cervical scan showed that the vertebrae are compressing the nerves, I have 5 day debilitating headaches, I cant see out of my left eye properly etc etc etc, but no fucker will actually see me.
I wish I could offer snippets of advice but I cannot save to to say that maybe it's time to start shouting louder?
It is written that you have the right to take complaints to the Local Government Ombudsman, which is independent of local authorities and or care providers. For more information, call 0300 061 0614 or visit the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman website. I probably wont say any more than that for now as I am drinking, but do make yourself heard mate because you do matter!

and these are the reforms the NHS needs, similar issue my mum's been battling for years until it finally got so bad they did another scan and spotted the problems that they've left to deteriorate so badly because no-one bothered to do their jobs properly the first time around and kept fobbing it off like she was exaggerating it.

The NHS should have the best point of care treatment in the world. I know many try so hard to deliver it but some areas really need bucking up.
Ok you have mentioned your mum, so now I am going to bore you even more. I am doubly pissed off because my mum, 86 has had 3 problems with a skin cancer right near her eye. i forget the name of it but it is not life threatening. IF they deal with it. before Covid they operated and cut it out. It has come back, the doctor referred her, I took her to see 'someone'. she heard nothing. We rang up, apparently 'someone' didnt mark it urgent and so she would never have had a call back...... because they are not bothering with non urgent cases. They are not my words, they are the woman on the phones words.

don't worry about that. There's a lot of brave facing going on at the moment with "we're all in this together", "we've all got our challenges", "it's tough but we just have to keep going" being bandied about where the "it's ok to talk" is in typical human fashion resulting in people pretending they're fine to not be the one who looks weak or seen to be complaining when most people are just bottling up the same emotions.

This is a platform for you to air your grievances and feelings and it's alright to do so, you're not fucking up the thread at all and you're right to share and get it off your chest, even if unfortunately many of us don't have an obvious solution. Your problems and issues are important and don't let anyone's actual positive mindset or brave face put you off expressing them. You're only seeing what they're all willing to post about their lives.
