Just before the goal that wasn't, I was coming to terms in my mind that we can concentrate on the league.. then that goal went in and I went fuckin mental! But for it to get scrubbed off in that fashion made me feel 100 times worse than I did a minute earlier. Absolutely gutted but so proud of the team. I know mate,it was so close. I hate VAR and never wanted it because of things like last night, it kills half the beauty of football,the sheer joy and emotion. For that goal though the linesman may have thought offside but kept his flag down so they could make certain later.

Found myself jumping round the room punching the air when Raheem put in what we thought was the winner, something I haven't been able to do for 20 years! Then it was gave way to anxiety as we found out that VAR was reviewing and in the end there was a stunned silence as I, my sons and grandsons realised that a place in the semis had been snatched out of our hands. I didn't sleep last night and my mood is frustrated and edgy today. But hard luck lads, you couldn't have done any more. And the fans in the ground were fantastic and destroyed a whole load of myths about other grounds and how football culture has to involve bricking coaches.

Just about to start the long trek back to London with the spuds fans, completely gutted still but proud of our team and glad I was there to witness first hand one of the best games of football ever.... We won the battle but lost the war, the most important trophy to play for now, roll on Saturday and come on City...

Overwhelming feeling of frustration more than anything same as last season. Our inability to score away goals and keep clean sheets at home in the ko stages is the obvious thing. Opportunity missed
