how long to get home

Stayed in Chesham Sat night then we drove up after the game on the M40 joining the M6,set off at 7pm home at 11pm,we did stop though.

Best song I heard all day was at Hilton Services by a group of lads, not heard it before...sorry don't know tune but heard it a lot of european grounds...words something like this.........

Whoa,Whoa,Whoa, weve got the best football team in the world,
Weve got Navas and Milner,
Yaya and Silva,
Nasri and Fernandi--ho

Change of plan for thus game. Took the train. Home by 8:30 - much better than driving.

We parked at Harrow station, and it was a crawl out to the M1, then 20-30mph all the way to Northampton, where we stopped and I had a short nap.

Heavy rain most of the way back after that and we arrived home at about 10:55.

We're talking about parking at Watford next time. If there is a next time.

Parked at Banbury and got the train, after match Wembley station was well organised and we were soon on our way, a terrible drive home from Banbury in horrible rain but dropped my first passenger in Denton at 8-15pm, got in local pub at 8-30pm.
The train every time for future Wembley trips.

9:15 to Alty. Similar stories to many of u here. Can't believe for a 90,000 seat national stadium the access roads are so poor. Awful design. One lane from M1 to Wembley and one lane back out again. Roadworks out from police for no reason. City car parks behind the Sunderland end (we were in yellow car park- absolute shambles!) and the same rigmarole to get out again. Shame on the wembley fat cats. Just thank God we won!

train down in london for 12 .15 , overground train to wembley central arrive 1 ish . After the game several beers in JJ Moons pub not far from wembley central , on train from euston 7.20 in Manchester for half nine . happy days far better going on the train

Car parked near Wembley Hill. Left about 4.45. In Alty by 7.45 non stop, but rain was horrible....

Train down to London got delayed by 35 mins so took 3 and a quarter hours.

After the game we went into Mayfair for drinks and got the 8.15pm train back, home by 10.30.

Got back about an hour ago, ;-)

Ha! So they didn't close the posh bars then. We headed to Baker St on the tube after the match only to find the Met had ordered every pub in the area to close at 4pm. WTF was that all about?

got the u/g back to Uxbridge (very nice place btw), had a couple of scoops and got back to Manchester just before 10pm.

you lucky buggers! 1am for me back to Durham. Terrible M1 traffic, awful weather and a stop at every service station mind

Train to Watford. Then train to Milton Keynes, then train to Picc.

Back by 8:20pm but then had to wait 10 minutes for a cab.

We got back to Audenshaw at 9.10. We got on the M1 just before 5 and a couple of stops. 17 seater minibus so pretty happy with that.

Got back at 10pm on Sunday night.

Traffic was terrible on the M1. The M6 was clear.

Straight through, no stops.

If you are in a car then I'm in the M40 group. Done it every time except one so far and it's always been clear. Refused to pay £8.90 for two stops on the tube, so got the bus instead from Harrow On The Hill. No other passengers going/coming back from the match, so breezed it. Noticed some blue fans parking for free near Wembley Central (because it was Sunday), not sure what the getaway was like from there though.

Had to drop my daughter off at uni in Leicester
Nightmare trip up the M1.
Got home at 10:30. Knackered today but very very happy.

Our coach got back to the Etihad at about 10:30pm. Decent journey back but the hardest part by far was was getting away from Wembley, we did 1 mile in the first hour!

Wish we'd done a mile in the first hour. From about 4.28 to 5.28 we shifted position in the car park! A friend who had parked in the multi-storey had got to Watford by the time we were getting onto the M1. But I got home for the highlights!!
