how long to get home

Tube from Wembley park to ruislip then a short walk to the car parked on a road next to Wealdstone Fc, stràight onto the M40/M6 toll road/M6 arrived back in audenshaw at 20 to 9 then the missus dropped us at the pub...

fucking awful journey. Didn't get off Wembley car park until 545!
Crawled in traffic to London North Circular Road and got to the M1at 5 to 7.
Traffic was 40 mph until Birmingham
Got to Cheadle at 1205am

National Stadium organisation was dogshit outside the ground

Didn't leave the stadium until every player had left the pitch, Straight to Wembley Central onto the train to Watford Junction where I had parked the minibus. Left as soon as all lads on-board got back to Doncaster for 9.45. We had a 15 minute stop at a service station. Ticket from Watford to Wembley central, Three quid return BARGAIN.

Train Wembley to Bicester(arrived 1730) meal in Toby carvery, set off at 1915 up M40/M6,home in Salford 2130 :-)

Tiring but great day!

Too long. Got a tyre blowout on the M40 and stood in the rain by the hard shoulder for 45 minutes waiting for the AA to arrive because Toyota don't have an engineer capable of understanding that wheelnuts put on at a million pounds per square inch can't be undone with a lever 6 inches long!

Then I had to drive back at 50 MPH because the spare wheel was one of those spindly thin numbers designed to get you home.

It was funny though when we stopped at Stafford services at 9.15 ish when every blue who went past us left a trail of beery fumes behind them.

We finally got home at 10.30, just in time for the local Chinese takeaway and in time for the highllights on BBC.

It was a great day out though, the friendliest final we can remember, and even though I was still damp when ordering the takeaway, we was happy.

Parked near the ground, got home to Bury about 11,did have a half hour stop at services though.

Parked near Ring Road which was a 15min walk, back in car for 5pm, was having a pint in The Townley at 8.10 pm was quite happy with that

Must say the 2pm kick off was great, got down to Euston, lunch at the sports bar in Marylebone, train to wembley Stadium, got a drink in the ground.... No Budwieser :)..

On the way back, got the 16:28 to marylebone, tea in Nandos Baker St, then we found a pub open on Marylebone High St to kill time to the 19:05, home before 10, watched top gear on sky+, then the highlights.... A Lou Reed day if ever there was one....

well i left early bout 75 mins so missed the Navas goal and us lifting the cup so even though didnt have to be anywhere as i was staying over i saved myself being in the crowds coming out and got a good spot in the pub, Great Day

Arrived back in Mcr' around 10.30pm, but it took us an age to out of Stanmore Tube Station - then the M1 was a crawl for ages.. plus we stopped at Corley Services for half an hour.. so not too bad (services were overrun with Blues!) ;-)

Was you stalking me. Home time, route, Stanmore, and Corley was my route. Never seen the M1 so bad.

Must have been! I don't know about you though but I was pissed off (well I'd have been more so if we'd lost) about the process (or lack of) to get out of Stanmore car park - I'm sure the Police let us out on previous visits (or did I dream that?). I fancy trying somewhere different should we make back next month.

went by train and stayed in watford saturday night,Ricky Hatton was in wetherspoons as well, got back to wigan at 11.20 but spent 3 hrs in the flag at watford 1st

Parked a 5 minute walk from the ground. Was home for 9 via the m40. The weather was crap though.

Went back to the Holiday Inn next to the ground, had a pint then got a lift back to our hotel at Heathrow off brother-in-law who lives in Leatherhead. Set off just after 6.30 to go up to Uxbridge to pick up daughters boyfriend who was down visiting his family. He turned up half an hour late so didn't leave Uxbridge until 7.35pm. Terrible weather all the way home until around Stafford where we stopped at Keele for a KFC around 10.30pm and then arrived back into Denton meeting up with de niro whose overnight bags we'd brought back as his crowd had took the train. Arrived home at 11.45pm to watch what was left of the highlights bu fell asleep and woke up around 2.30am on the couch aching all over. Watched the full game last night and it has to be said there was a few nasty tackles from them that were let go by Atkinson. Another great weekend notched up to talk about over the future coming years.

Left after the lap of honour went past us was pretty quick getting a train to Milton Keynes from Wembley Central then Holyhead train to Chester home by 7:45pm pretty good going. One thing that did surprise me there was no booze ban on the train despite it obviously being a viable option for people to travel to Crewe then change for Manchester
