How long will the rebuild take?

What is strange is that we have so much possession in the opponents half it’s hard to believe our defenders are so injury prone.

We read and hear speculation about this player and that player, but probably none of us really know the targets. Sometimes it’s the relatively unknowns that work out the best, have to admit I’d heard very little of Rodri, Diaz, Ortega before we signed them, they’ve turned out ok I think
You can add Bernado, Sane and Akanji to that list.

Perhaps that's one of the reasons the PL leadership are trying to drag out the 115 case and are now briefing the media that it could take till the end of the season.
Perhaps?

No question this shit show was started, made as complicated as possible and dragged out to the maximum, purely to derail us.

Job done by the Cartel Cunts with the PL in their pocket.

Nobody can offer the same levels of success that we have had in the last 10 years, not even Pep
How long will the rebuild take, Well if the fans don't understand it can never be repeated then we have no hope.

Forget a timescale or limit, Just support the club in good or bad times, Pressure from the stands will be the key with the new fans that have never seen Manchester City fail, I do miss going to City without the pressure of a result ? just turning up to watch and enjoy the whole crack of the day and feel blessed that I am a City fan,

We should have a behind the scenes documentary for this season. No one wants to see us winning but being in disarray would be gold -:)

Its a long way back with the age profile of our squad, how weak it is in certain areas, how competitive the league is and the fact that most teams are all throwing hundreds of millions of pounds at improving their squads, and also how tired Pep appears. He hasn’t been himself in recent weeks.

A season, or 2 -3 good windows starting in 3 weeks 5-6 players and a new spine fron GK to Fwd

GK - eddie
RB - walker
CB - stones
DM - rodri partner or back up
AM - kevs replacement long term
SFWD - support for haaland

lots of hyperbole about recent results but many of the time it has been due to our fuck ups and missed chances, at the core our 20 man squad plus EDS is 2/3rds fine the other 3rd needs replacing or returning players.

I have faith Simpson-pusey, wright, O'rielly will be part of the future and in the team so players like bermy, akanji, kova already have replacements as they age/get more injury prone

18/24 months and 3 good and expensive windows.

I hope Viana is good, he has a hell of a job on his hands.

Stones and Ake are injury prone, what the surprise with those players?

Akanji, Dias have played non stop for basically 3 seasons and whatever anyone says top, elite players are playing too much.

Walker is finished, legs and head have gone, turning down 30m from Bayern was a monumental error by the execs.

Added to that we have a manager that insists on a small squad despite playing 60 plus games a year.

And a final thought, a club world cup this summer, unless we make major changes, next season could be even more troublesome.

Ruthlessness and money is the only way to sort this out.

Maybe it won't get sorted out. This could be the end of the road as far as mega success is concerned. We might be turning into a version of the rags. Once great and powerful but now weak and deluded. Fans around Europe may soon be laughing at us in the way we have goaded the rags with comments like.... Have they turned another corner!!

Can't see it, a 300m plus ground expansion and 2 more year of Pep says the opposite to me.

But we will have more of an idea by the end of the January window.

200m lighter and 3 or 4 players in could transform our season, no chance of domestic or CL titles but the big one is next summer,( Club World Cup) 3 - 4 signing and a few players coming back to fitness could be perfect timing for us.

I said earlier in the week after the decade we have had there would be no complaints for me if we were not challagening but after the last month I have changed my opinion, losing and not competing is horrible.

A lot of investment needed In my opinion to get to the squad levels of Arsenal and Chelsea and Liverpool - they have left us behind.

I think it will be 2 years at least before we challenge for the league again.
Everyone in football was laughing at Chelsea and their business model, not today, they look the real deal, young, hugely talented, hungry side, they will take some stopping over the next few seasons, and what a fine job Maresca has done so far.

When they started this experiment they were the 3rd/4th best team in the league.

They've spent £1bn over the last three seasons, finished in midtable twice and are now back to being the 3rd/4th best team in the league.

I think it's a bit early to be celebrating Chelsea's business model!

Give Pep 1 billion over 3 seasons and we would be untouchable for years.

It is early but one thing I admire with their owners is they don't give a ^uch what people think and are looking after No1.

Chelsea's squad is very tasty and if they keep progressing and start winning titles then that investment will have been money well spent.
