In fairness Blue Manc some of the comments from both sides have been over the top. Debating is one thing but I can never understand the personal attacks on fellow fans as ultimately we both want what is best for the club, just we see the pathway to get there as being quiet different. Fans will always speculate and make observations like you have said about Cassell and on the other hand Hughes inners have blamed Elano for everything that was wrong at the club, and that Robinho would never play for us again a few weeks ago.

However I respectfully suggest that you read your original post again then, because that is exactly how it came over to me. NEVER have I (or 99% of those who don't rate MH) said they want us to lose, I've certainly not said anything about Cassell, he's entitled to any view he wants.

We also know that the majority of them as admitted have no other reason for coming on here other than to post & start threads about getting rid of our manager.
We also know that these people want City to lose against Arsenal & Chelski because then they can do what they enjoy doing more than ever.

99% now that's silly & if you think that a good few of the extremer elements of the Hughes outers wouldnt be happy to see us lose against the arse & chelski & see Hughes go then you have not seen them admit that fact in past threads.
Perhaps a poll asking that question would be in order.......but would they tell the truth ??1 or 2 would as they have in the past the others wouldn't.

Bluemanc - I share your frustration with a lot of stuff which has been posted on bluemoon since pretty much the day Hughes arrived. The fervor with which he's been attacked at times has been staggering. People have over analyzed everything, and have tried to put a negative spin on everything he has done.

Personally I think much of it is linked to the fact that he was brought in by Dr Shinawatra to replace Sven, someone who had rightly or wrongly become a genuine fans favourite at City.

The problem you've got now, is that if you just blindly entrench yourself in the "we shouldn't criticize Mark Hughes" position, you're not going to see the genuine cracks. I think they are appearing now, not because of how bad he is, but because this City job is monumental. The expectation is monumental. The scrutiny is unbelievable. The egos are some of the biggest in world football. The dressing room is probably one of the toughest in world football. That's not a criticism of the players either, just a fact.

Hughes is still a very good manager IMO - but this job - is possibly a little too much too early for him.
