How many attempts at driving test?

First time on both Theory and Practical.

I took my test on 2nd Feb this year. I had 12 minors (I think - might have been 16, unless 16 is the maximum allowed and I'm getting confused).

I was pretty bad. I don't know how I passed. My instructor was not expecting it at all - he was expecting me to continue filling his wallet for another few weeks at least.

During the drive home, my instructor suggested that I passed easier because it was the start of the month. :)
 
Passed if first time, piece of piss. The hardest thing was fiding my car when I went out with the examiner - Forgot where I parked it and it took 5 minutes wandering around the streets looking for it.
 
Third time for me but that was more luck than anything. Failed twice on the reverse round a corner, hit the curb doing it on my lesson before my third time and got taken back to the same corner in the test about 15 minutes later, again I was poor at it and decided to stop the car and take a chance bit the instructor told me to keep reversing so I did at about half a mile an hour about ten seconds later he got pissed off and said to drive on. Got back to the test centre and passed. I wondered why my instructor didn't look to happy standing at the test centre door, after he had a quick chat with the inspector he got in and told me I had been driving with my fog lights on when I left the test centre and they were still on when I returned but alas it was my lucky day my test inspector had me for his last test before going to Thailand for 3 weeks with his new Thai girlfriend and couldn't give a fuck he was just happy to be going on holiday. Lucky me, but I have improved a bit since then
 
2nd on my car test, had the same test inspector for both, I thought I drove like a bag of shite but he remembered me and said I had improved significantly.

1st on my HGV, again thought I had blown it early doors but then settled down and thought f**k it and just drove.

Passed first time. I had the same examiner who failed my mate on the same morning. Lets just say a little bit of gloating was done
 
First time on theory and practical. Not bloody surprised though as the instructor must be be richer than Sheikh Mansour after the lessons he made me take.

A mate in work failed 13 times. He gets quite embarrassed by it so naturally I make sure everyone is aware of the fact.
