How many attempts at driving test?

Passed first time, 3 minors.

Passed first time, got 4 minors on the same thing (undue hesitation) and still passed. 2 other minors on gears round corners.

bought a car week later crashed it 3 days
later, says it all really

1st time (1974,was 17)
1st time HGV (1984)

I listen to the young team in my taxi,£20 etc for 1 lesson.
Fukn hell,mine cost £2 per lesson,if you booked 10,you got 2 free.
12 lessons for £20.No theory etc.

HGV,my old work put me through it.
Crash (no pun) course of 4 days,test on the friday.
Was in Nottingham,so the instructor took us both test routes over and over and over and over and....ye get the point.

Just wondering how many times you lot did your test before passing or giving up? I'm doing mine for the first time a week on monday. I know someone who did it 8 times then give up because he was sick of forking out all the money, but that seems a waste of everything he's already spent. Anyway what about you lot...

2nd time for me, all the rest of my family 2 girls 2 lads and the wife all passed first time.

Me and my ex missus took our lessons at the same time. She passed first time I passed 3rd time and just scraped that one with a couple of minor errors to spare.

She wrote off our first 2 cars before I even had chance to drive them!

Anyone who doesn't pass by the third attempt should never be allowed to drive again.
