I work 7 days on (24 hours including sleeping at work) and then 7 days off - in effect I have 26 weeks a year off, half of the year!
On top of that I have annual leave of 7 days - however, in the States it is usually called PTO days and if you are sick or need appointments you have to take the time out of your PTO time. Fortunately I am one for not getting ill (3 and a half years on the job with no sick days needed yet)
So I am taking 7 days off in December to come over just before Xmas meaning I can come over for 3 weeks as either side of my week off work, I would be scheduled to be off!
