How many games can we realistically afford to lose?

Has any team ever won the title after losing four of their first eleven games?
Forget the title; it's gone. We've lost over a third of our opening set of fixtures (and we've only played one so called ''difficult'' away game, at Chelsea), and there'll be more away defeats to come.

We haven't lost too many yet. We won the league losing 5 times and teams have lost 6 times and still won the league on a few occasions. Blackburn lost 7 times when they won it. We just have little to no margin for error. It will be extremely difficult for us to be virtually unbeaten over the next 27 games, especially with our recent away form this season and last.

We only lost 5 aways last season. Lose the next and we'll have equalled that in only 7 games.

To suggest the title has gone is madness IMO. This is the most open title race since the PL's inception and so any data regarding previous campaigns are largely irrelevent.

4 losses out of 6 away is fucking shambolic whichever way you want to dress it up.

At the start of last season I wasnt overly concerned as I thought it was a matter of time before we clicked. I'm still waiting.

Until we start finding some consistency and fight, particularly when things arent going well we're going to have another year without silverware.

Im not dressing it up at all.

Do we need to address our away form? Absolutely.

Can we afford to drop more points? In this particular season, yes.

So is the title over? No. Not by a long chalk.

That may be true but if rags beat arsenal we are 6 points off 1st place. And if people are saying that the title is lost in November with 6 points behind they should quit being a fan. Hell even 9 points is not a lot in Nov IMO.

Can afford to drop 15 points all season to make 85 points.

Win every home game (unlikely) lose 2 away (ambitious) draw 4 (ambitious).

The title has more than likely gone unless we see a jaw droppingly huge improvement away from home.
