How many horses are truly in this race?

Is the title a three horse, two horse or one horse race? I still think its a bit early to say. Chavs need a striker big style and rags need RVP to stay fit. I think we're in a slightly better position squad wise than the other two but there's always January.

I don't see an injury to RVP being in any way pivotal to their chances. It's just how they work. Rooney is barely scoring at the moment, but you just watch him start as soon as RVP is on the doctors table.

Chelsea I'm still really unsure of. Already had a bad little run and third despite starting the season much much better than us. Doesn't really tell you all you need to know though, farcical game against the shite, and their attack will overwhelm most teams in the league. Long term injury to Terry could be a problem possibly.

I've always maintained the Rags are our main competitors for the title and still think that. A lot seems to hinge on this possibility of Chelsea getting Falcao in January, which if they weren't in the race before that certainly would be after it.

And thats why we need to go all out and get him asap.

And in doing so, fail FFP and get kicked out of the very competition everyone is saying we need to start doing better in.

No thanks. We've got the foundations of a very good team now. Slow and steady over constant money splurges now, please.

Still 3 at this stage, but I can see Chelsea dropping out.

Wouldn't be keen if they do get Falcao, and even if they don't they're looking a huge threat over the next couple of years.

Not if we recoup half of it from outgoing transfers.

Not a chance of chelsea winning the league this year. If we don't win it the rags will, guranteed

If we do not break away from United, part of me wants Chelsea to stay in the race at least until easter. These head to heads against United are just too stressful.

But I do think there's a big question mark over how the Mata/Oscar/Hazard combination will last the winter.
