How many hours do you sleep ?

Just got up. 4 am wide awake.

Since I entered the realm of FOC it's getting less and less. I wake up usually needing a piss, then my mind takes over with all kinds of shit and bingo, I'm awake. Soon as I get up and make a brew I'm fine.
Seen a lot of dawns in the last couple of years.
Well, you should stop thinking of 'shit and bingo' then.

I'm the same, sometimes I'm aware I'm dreaming and can control it.
I can usually fly, and I can often get back into the dream after being woke up.
really?
i do that too.
i didn't know anyone else did that.
(not the flying bit, my thing is levitating, haha)

during the dream sometimes something happens (like maybe someone who died many years ago turns up) and so i realise it's a dream and say to myself but you're dead so this is a dream.

and, of course, you cannot die in a dream, your brain simply will not allow it, so you can do whatever you want without fear.
sadly i usually end up running around looking for a woman to try to steal a kiss from instead of doing something extraordinary like fly.

i suspect it's only a restful mind that can appreciate and play along with the dreamtime.
having the calm mindfulness to immediately concentrate on the memories of a dream once you've woken, to think it through without letting your brain wander off into real-life bollox, and to then be able to actually allow/convince your brain to sleep again and to return to that dream and carry it on is such an amazing thing.

(my physio, andy (thorpey) thorpe, ex-stockport captain and thoroughly nice fella says he, like you, can fly in his dreams)

My optimum is five hours, am fine on four, can function on three, but struggle with any less.

Apparently it is bollocks that we are ok on less sleep and 8 hours minimum has better benefits on the body and mind. Thing is after working all day I cba having only a couple of hours in the evening before having to sleep so I stay up as long as possible.
