How many hours do you sleep ?

I always thought I got a full 8hrs sleep. In bed around 10pm and up around 5:45am.
That is until I wore a fitness tracker to bed. Lucky to get three hours of solid sleep.
 
Sleep definitely gets worse with age..try to go to sleep same time and before 11..its improved without alcohol
 
Mine varies with the time of year. In summer, with the light mornings and birdsong, I get by on 6 hours. In winter, it is closer to 8 hours.
The other difference in summer is that I get up earlier for a run or swim before it gets too warm, whereas in winter, I usually wait until after 9am for a bit of daylight & most of the ice has melted before venturing out.
I tend to need a siesta on summer afternoons too. In fact, I've just woken up from one now!
